Sheltered Instruction School Visit

East Valley Elementary and East Valley Central

East Valley Elementary and East Valley Central are proud to be recognized as Schools of Distinction for 2016. Through the hard work of their students and staff, EVE and EVC have shown continuous growth in student achievement. This prestigious award is being presented to the top 5 percent of Washington schools achieving sustained improvement in English Language Arts and Math over the past five years.  The student achievement growth is calculated from Washington State student assessment data. East Valley Central is one of 94 schools throughout the state, and one of only 20 middle schools honored by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) and their partner organizations that have recognized schools all over the state for continuous and substantive improvement. This acknowledgment is a point of pride for the middle school and signifies the hard work of the students and staff of the middle school.
